Historical & Cultural Centre

Rethymno nestles against the edge of the sea. It lies approximately half-way between Heraklion and Chania. This pretty and picturesque town has survived in relatively good condition, with minarets and Turkish housed whose covered balconies provide an Oriental air to set off against the Renaissance features of the Venetian buildings.
